Fusion Paint!

This blog post is thanks to my co-worker and friend Natalie. She recently redid a piece in her home and after seeing the photos I just had to share!

Here is the process from Natalie: I sanded the top down to that bare wood, re-stained and lacquered that.

I did a lighter sanding on the rest of the piece. The paint used is “Soapstone” by Fusion Mineral Paint. It is similar to a chalk paint but has a built in top coat. It is actually an acrylic with zero VOCs, “has no smell” and dries within an hour.

I finished it off with a hemp oil/beeswax finish and some different vintage gold knobs.

I also painted the interior with a fun Fusion paint called “Laurentian”.

Thanks for sharing Natalie!
