Today I had some time to work in my garden. I pulled weeds and moved some plants about. Nothing major. On the other hand my good friend Kelly added more splashes of blue to hers. In recent posts I showed how Kelly added blue to her shed to make it pop and how she made a simple forsythia wreath.
Here are a few more photos from her backyard blue injected make over.
But wait I do!
So what would you do to your home if you had a few spare days? I am making a list and checking it twice.
My plan is to: put in another small garden, paint the office, organize the office, clean the laundry room, tidy the storage room, Empty the junk drawers and paint some things white.
Just re-read the list. It is somewhat intimidating! We will see what I get done. I am hoping some blog accountability will help me achieve more then I normally would!
I will keep you posted….
This summer the back patio is going aqua and yellow. I am pretending to be in the tropics.
Grabbed a couple aqua tins from Dollerama and some pillows from Zehr’s and voila.
I bought a yellow planter pot from the dollar store and a $10 palm from Rona to add some tropical glam.
I then got my fountain running and plunked in a floating flower, yes, also from the dollar store.
Some white lights were wrapped around my candle holder and now let the the good times begin! We are ready to entertain! Bring on summer!
Cute shed but kinda plain. A little bit of colour would transform it quickly!
Behr paint colour Placid Sea would bring a whole lot of “calm blue ocean” feeling to this backyard.
The window frame and door are going to get a hit of this wonderful colour.
Adding a wonderful storage piece like a dresser is a great way to store backyard toys or gardening tools. It also creates a nice spot to have an eye catching vignette.
Good job friend! Oh, and still loving that yellow wreath. Thanks for the step by step photos.
A good friend of mine made this fabulous wreath this morning and I had to share.
She went to the local dollar store and picked up a few sprigs (6) of yellow forsythea.
She also bought some crafting wire.
She created a long line by wiring the branches together.
She then twisted it into a circle and wired the ends together.
And now she has the prettiest shed in the neighbourhood.
Speaking of shed, I am going to show how this same friend turned her shed from drab to fab with a wee bit of blue paint!
This is a lovely store that sells wonderful creams and such for the body but they also have a home line. Not only do the products smell fabulous but they look equally beautiful.
This past weekend I visited their store at the Niagara Outlets. ( They have fantastic sales.) I picked up a cinnamon home spray. Yes, it is more of a fall or winter smell but I will keep it out on the shelf until I use it. The glass bottle is so well designed.
I also love the spray head that can be re-used.
So next time you see this store, take a moment to pop in. It is worth the look around or even stop by their website in advance to preview their assortment of products.
