So I have learned a thing or two about hinges during this mini Reno. The photo above is what my hinge looked like. I bought new ones in brushed nickel and was told they were a standard size. The thing is, the standard size changed over 10 years ago. So when you have cupboards that are 30 years old the standard is not standard any more. Oiy! There is one manufacturer that still makes the “old” size and lucky for me the wonderful folks at W & W Liquadators on Victoria St. in Kitchener carry them. Now you pay a bit of a premium for them but at least they have them in four different colours. So be careful when you go to buy hinges. Standard is not necessarily standard.
